Keynote is a huge improvement over Powerpoint (PPT) in the elegance of it's final output and ease of use. It also handles two-up display mode, sticky type notes, foot and end notes very well giving plenty of options on how to display and manage these citation and collaboration features. I also like to use higher magnifications (125 to 150 percent) and Pages scales up without flipping out. I prefer to 'view invisibles' to keep my perspective on layout as I write. It also handles display modes without trouble. Pages effectively and neatly implements change tracking and will give as detailed or simplified change record as you like. It handles Word files (open and save-as) well for those who must send files to Word users (the better way to do that though is to use RTF or Txt). ![]() IWork package (Apples competitor to MS Office) is strongest with it's word processor "Pages" and it's presentation app "Keynote." Pages is much cleaner than MS Word and more easily integrates multi-media content.
